Edit Permissions

Overview

Models are not viewable unless the user is either an organisation admin, or they have permission to do so.

You may grant permissions to view or edit your assets to any user or group. This user may even be in another organisation

Permission Types

Read

Allow the user or group to view the asset in the web app or desktop client.

Write

The user can delete, edit the title, and set permissions

Edit Annotations

The user can create and edit annotation sets and add and delete annotations to the model

Edit CRS

The user can edit, delete and create CRSs and link CRSs with CRS Transforms

Edit Locks

The user can lock and unlock annotations, CRSs. If an item is locked the user cannot edit it ev en if they have write permissions

Allow Upload

The user can import models into the Reveal4D system

License Caveat

The permissions above are only relevant if the user has a license assigned to them for performing the action. For viewing models the user must have at least a Read License. For editing, a Write License, and for importing models an Import Models license

Project and Models

Setting permissions on a project allows users to view the project but not necessarily the models in it. However if, when addding or editing a permission you check the "Also replace permissions in all models in the project?" checkbox then those permissions will be applied to the models.

Also - if importing a new model into a project, by default, it will take the permissions from the project
