Double click with the left mouse button on the point to bring to the view centre. The point must be on the model, double clicking on the background will have no effect.

Defined views

There are 6 defined views. These are accessible from the keyboard.

Top: T

Bottom: Shift-T

Left: L

Right: R

Front: F

Back: Shift F

Selecting a standard view zooms to the full model extent.

Note that the standard views are defined in terms of the currently active Coordinate Reference System (CRS). Creating a new CRS with a rotation is common, to align the CRS with the structure.

Snap to nearest Axis

The Model rotation can be aligned to the nearest axis using Shift-X. This changes the model rotation without altering the zoom.
