Edit Annotation Style Rule
Annotation style rules dictate how an annotation appears in the Reveal4D desktop client.
Style rules, like style sheets are stored with the project so available to all models and annotation sets in the project
A style rule operates on an annotation property and then affects one of the visible appearances of the annotation.
Property
Select the property you want to query. The built-in properties are listed first:
Date Created, Date Changed: The date the annotation was added and the date it was last modified - eg it was moved or a property was changed.
Occluded by the model: If the annotation is hidden behind the model.
Operator
Then select the operator you want to use to compare the property selected.
List type properties and value properties have slightly different operators. For lists you can select and number of values to compare against for instance
Value
Depending on the operator you selected you may now choose or enter a value to compare against the property
Then...
If the above comparison is satisfied then the annotation appearance is altered here. Choose an item that you want to use:
Is Visible: You may choose to show or hide the annotation
Label colour: This selects the background colour of the annotation label.
Text colour: This selects the text colour of the annotation label.
Label text: The label text may be set to a value you enter here or it can take the text value of one of your annotation properties
Line width: If your annotation has a shape attached then this determines the line width of the shape
Shape fill colour: If your annotation has a closed shape attached then it will be filled with this colour, or you may set that the shape is not filled with the 'Filled' checkbox
Line colour: If your annotation has a shape attached then this determines the line colour of the shape
Note that colours for the shapes have an alpha component - this sets the opacity of the shape. nThis is set by the bottom slider on the colour picker.
Real-Time updates
If you have a style sheet containing the style rule you are editing then you can open a model in the Reveal4D desktop client and apply this style sheet.
Editing the style rule and saving it will update the appearance of the model's annotations in real-time.
